Start your weekend by grounding yourself through dance. Join Basheera to learn the basics of belly dance and add some new moves to your dance repertoire. Belly dance is a body positive art of moving in concert with the shapes your body naturally makes. We will start with a shimmy and then layer hip slides, figure 8s, and snake arms. Core work never felt more fun. You’ll connect with muscles you never knew you had in a low impact way.
Wear clothes with some stretch and bring a scarf to wear around your hips for a little extra flair. Consider wearing thin soled, flat shoes, as we’ll be dancing on polished concrete. Class will be 60 minutes.
After a long week, treat yourself to wine, and sweet or savory pie (for purchase) after our class – you will have earned it.
